Hi, I’m Niall

I’m an award winning wedding and family photographer based in the most beautiful county in Ireland, Donegal!

I've been in love with photography ever since holding my fathers old Minolta film camera some 30 plus years ago and can still remember the smell of all the chemicals as he developed his negatives!

I got my first digital SLR 15 years ago and dove into landscapes and now I’ve found myself totally in love with capturing the joy in peoples faces whether that be a couples special day or a family shoot on the beach!

I'm happily married to the amazing Amanda and we have been together for years. We have two beautiful kiddos in our handsome son Max and beautiful daughter Robyn…… and not to forgot our standard schnauzer Einstein.

My Gear

I’m a Sony shooter and my camera of choice is the Sony A7iv, a 31 mega pixel full frame camera which takes exquisite images.

The lenses that I use are an 85mm f1.8 prime lens,

a 35mm f1.4 prime lens and a 24mm f1.8 prime lens.

I shoot prime lenses for the simple reason that in my view they give the most beautiful images for couples and family’s.

My cameras have dual memory card slots so this minimises the risk of loss of images.

I also shoot some off camera flash For the first dance.

Finally, I'm a licensed drone operator which allows me to shoot some aerial drone shots for dynamic outdoor group shots.Contact me here for more info

Wedwar awards

I often enter some of my shots into an international wedding photography competition which is held monthly. I've been lucky to have won four awards with them for my work. The standard is extremely high and its fantastic to have my work stand out amongst the top Irish and International photographers.

Wedwar is an International Wedding Photography community that showcases the work of the best wedding photographers in the world. Wedwar is a platform where you will get a chance to compete with wedding photographers of different proficiency levels and learn new skills and ideas every day.
